A little bit about yourself--where are you from? What do you like to do?
I am originally from Hickory, NC. I attended Appalachian State University where I met my husband. After we were married we moved to ¼«ËÙÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û, and I completed my degree at Winthrop University. My husband, Stephen, and I have been married for 38 years and we have two beautiful daughters. I enjoy spending time with family and traveling.
Favorite thing about teaching or working at Sullivan?
My favorite thing about working at Sullivan is the feeling of family. The teachers here truly love students and want to help them achieve their full potential. In my job I go into many classrooms, and I see teachers doing all they can to help their students. I also love working with students and seeing how excited they get when they master something new.
What is your "genius" or "Superpower"?
I believe my Superpower is being flexible. Often during a school day there are changes to what I have planned. These changes are sometimes challenging, but I need to be able to make adjustments to best assist my students and their teachers. I believe I use these opportunities to learn and grow along with my students.
