A little bit about yourself--where are you from? What do you like to do?
I was born and raised in Raleigh, NC, where I resided with my father, mother, and brother. I attended Winston-Salem State University and obtained my teaching degree. I enjoy naps, going to the movies with my boyfriend (Stone Theaters) and eating popcorn! I typically decompress by walking 2-3 miles a few times weekly while listening to podcasts.
Favorite thing about teaching or working at Sullivan?
I appreciate the opportunity to positively impact students' lives. I enjoy finding ways to present material, making learning fun. My desire is to continue to plant seeds which encourage students to embrace and celebrate the many differences of others globally. At Sullivan, I enjoy working with colleagues, sharing ideas and collaborating to execute engaging lessons and activities.
What is your "genius" or "Superpower"?
My superpower is finding ways to make others smile or laugh, which can be a stress reliever and creates a more relaxed atmosphere.
