Sandy Herdle
My name is Sandy Herdle and I am the Literacy Coach at York Road.
I grew up all over the east coast and then attended Mount Union College in Ohio (now known as the University of Mount Union). I graduated with a Bachelors in Elementary Education. I then went on to earn a Masters as a Reading Specialist from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania. Lastly, I went to Virginia Commonwealth University where I earned my Educational Leadership degree. I served as a classroom teacher and reading specialist for 17 years in Virginia and this will be my second year here at York Road.
I moved here last year to be closer to family. My parents moved to the Steele Creek area on Lake Wylie over 30 years ago, so I’m happy to be close by!
I am looking forward to a wonderful year at York Road! This is a great place to be with faculty and staff who care and students who can do anything!!
